We've known of each other since we were in middle school. However, we didn't actually meet until we were both in college. I was immediately taken with how easy it was to talk and laugh with Michael - plus we have a similar sense of humor. We dated for a few months and decided we were both still young and wanted to give ourselves a chance to grow into adulthood before pursuing anything serious. Little did we know we would run back into each other a decade later.

Michael and I kept up with each other throughout the years. Spoke of our work lives and our travels - still always making each other laugh. After nearly seven years of living away from Birmingham, I decided to move back to be closer to family. The first weekend I was back in town I ran into Michael at a bar and we have been together ever since.

Ten years later and we still click the way we did when we were teenagers and it's a really lovely feeling.
