Evan & Meagan met their freshman year of high school when Meagan was friends with Evan's sister, Kayleigh. Meagan moved high schools after sophomore year, no longer seeing each other as frequent. 4 years later... while they were both home from college for Christmas Break, they matched on Tinder and Evan asked Meagan to go to the movies on Christmas Day 2019. Evan & Meagan dated long distance for the majority of their relationship while Evan was in Lawton, Oklahoma at Cameron University & Meagan in San Marcos, Texas at Texas State University. Now graduated with their Bachelors Degrees & in their careers, they decided it was time to tie the knot!

Evan & Meagan got engaged on Thanksgiving Day 2023 in Mississippi where Meagan's extended family lives. Before the Thanksgiving meal, the family headed over to visit the gravesite of her Nanna. At the cemetery, there is a little white church Meagan's family has attended for generations. Evan surprised Meagan inside of the church by getting on one knee & asking her to marry him! The day was perfect being surrounded by family & celebrating their engagement!
