An area in downtown Tampa with tons to offer, here you'll find great restaurants and Tampa staples. Home to Sparkman Wharf and the Amalie Arena - go Bolts! We recommend grabbing a bite at Boulon, Columbia Cafe, Yard House, or Naked Farmer. When you're ready for dessert head to Chill Bros. for some ice cream.
Houses the Heights Public Market, which is an open floor-plan building with diverse eateries and communal seating. Armature Works also features full-service restaurants, rooftop bar M.Bird, and a beautiful front lawn that has one of the best views of the Hillsborough River. Grab a coffee and watch boats float by or play a game of life-sized chess on the front lawn.
DTSP for short, this is our neck of the woods. You’ll find Vinoy and Northshore parks along the bay, where you can go for a stroll and expect to see a dolphin or two along the way. Great restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. Check out Perry’s Porch, Fresco’s Waterfront Bistro or Doc Ford’s on the St. Pete Pier or head to Beach Drive (where some of our favorites include Ceviche and Stillwater’s Tavern). Be sure to also grab a drink at the rooftop bar Canopy at The Birchwood.
Not interested in the food scene? Check out one of the many museums in the area, including the Dalí Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts St. Pete.
Check out the Saturday morning farmers market, and keep an eye out for any other festivals throughout the weekend.
Pro tip: Ride the Cross Bay Ferry from downtown Tampa to DTSP for the full experience (website linked).
With a diverse menu and especially great seafood dishes, this gem sitting on the Hillsborough River is worth a visit.
A local favorite sports bar, here you’ll find some of the best wings in town and whatever game you’re looking for.
