Growing up Jordan and Meaghan were inseparable. Everyone knew there was no Meaghan without Jordan and vice versa. These two are often described as opposites but that is what makes their friendship so special. Meaghan just always knows to expect Jordan at least 15 minutes later than what they planned. No matter how much time has passed because of their busy schedules, when they reunite, it feels as though no time has passed at all. After 16+ years of friendship, they have grown to feel more like sisters.

Lauren and Meaghan met in their first year on the University of Guelph varsity swim team. For them it was friends at first sight! Meaghan asked Lauren to come get ready before homecoming and the rest is history. Lauren is the friend who will laugh with you, comfort you in tough times, and never fail to brighten your day. From their very first sleepover, to the countless crazy night shenanigans in the Katemore house, they knew they would be stuck with each other. 7 years later and here we are!

Kate and Meaghan met in their first year on the University of Guelph varsity swim team. One of our earliest memories together is from our rookie party (IYKYK). Kate is the friend you always want around. She is such a light and cares deeply about all of her friends. You can always count on Kate to make you laugh, there truly is never a dull moment when you're around her. The best word to describe her is special because there seriously is no one else like her! 7 years later and she still needs my help cooking chicken.

Prisco and Sam met in their first year at the University of Guelph, but became very close once they moved in together. From this point Prisco was someone that Sam could count on for literally anything. Someone to confide in, rely on, and always count on for a great time - even if it just meant hanging out at home. Prisco is the definition of kind and generous. His love for his friends goes far beyond just having fun together - it is actively observed through his selfless nature. Sam will always remember the summers they lived together where they would go super hard at training and go for late-night long board rides. From being a great training partner in the pool, to being one of the closest friends in Sam's life, Prisco is the embodiment of what a best man should be.

Lucas and Sam initially met in their first year at the University of Guelph. At this point Lucas was the number one hype person he had ever seen. Once the two of them got past the decibels that Lucas provided, Sam quickly realized just how well-spoken, smart, and caring he is. Lucas is without question one of the most intelligent individuals in Sam's life - not only academically, but also when it comes to the various facets that life has to offer. Lucas is also by far the most reliable and determined friend Sam has come across - not only for an excellent friendship, but also to be entrusted with officiating our wedding. Now that we have all gotten into the realities of life and time is at a premium, Sam will always appreciate the time spent together while at school and even more so the time they get to spend together now when Lucas hosts our group. We hope you are all prepared for the most beautifully-worded ceremony you have seen, because that is exactly what Lucas is capable of (don't worry if you are not, it will likely be impossible).

Johnny and Sam first met in their grade 10 drama class. Here they found a mutual intrigue with their teacher, who let's just say, made the class rather memorable. From this point forward, the two of them spent as much time together as their schedules allowed. From going on joy-rides in Sam's dad's truck and playing loud music (dad, I promise I wasn't speeding), to spending a week getting petrified by horror movies while Johnny's parents were on vacation, the two of them had countless good times. Johnny's friendship was pivotal for Sam as he went through major life changes in high school. He provided a strong sense of belonging and appreciation that has lasted with Sam through his life up to this point. Though time and life have caused the two of them grow apart (literally because they live on opposite sides of the country), they have always remained close. Sam and Meaghan were blessed to have been able to celebrate Johnny and Kaitlyn's wedding and it was from that point that Sam knew he wanted Johnny to be standing with him on his most important day.

Gavin and Sam first met in their first and second years at the University of Guelph, respectively. From here, they became very close once they started to live together. Gavin is someone who is highly determined not only when it comes to pursuing his passions such as engineering, rock-climbing, and skiing, but also towards how well he cares for his friends. Gavin is always willing to lend a helping hand and will go out of his way to make sure his friends are heard and supported. Sam will always cherish the times spent together while locked away during COVID - even though we couldn't go anywhere or do anything, we found ways to grow together and have a great time in the process. Even though Gavin lives provinces apart, Sam will always consider him to be one of the most valuable relationships in his life.
