What is the attire?

Attire is semi-formal. Please note that the ceremony is a formal Catholic Nuptial Mass held within a church and will call for a great degree of reverence. Please be respectful in dress during the Mass, including in the length and fit of clothing. For ladies, we encourage midi or maxi length sundresses or cocktails dresses. For gentlemen, suits, sport coats, button down, slacks, chinos, and a tie (bonus points for seersucker suits) are appropriate! Please wear whatever you are comfortable with and note that it tends to be hot (highs in 80-90s) and humid in August in North Carolina!

When should I arrive?

The Nuptial Mass will begin promptly at 6 pm at the Duke Chapel. The most convenient parking is located in the Bryan Center parking garage adjacent to the chapel. Given that navigating the Duke campus can be a bit tricky if you are not a Dukie, the chapel is easy to spot once you make your way to campus. We encourage guests to aim to arrive at the campus before 5:30 so that you can make your way to the Chapel and be settled in well before the ceremony begins. If you have the time to arrive earlier, the campus is beautiful and the Sarah B. Duke Gardens (where we got engaged) are a short walk from the chapel and parking garage. Additionally, there will be instrumental music playing prior to mass; we encourage a reverent disposition once guests enter the church.

Duke campus maps can be helpful tool for navigating Duke's campus. That website can be found here: https://maps.duke.edu/

Where should I park?

Parking for the wedding can be found at the Bryan Center Parking Garage on Duke's campus. Parking is $2 per hour. It is short walk from the garage to the Chapel and there is an ADA accessible entry on the right side of the Chapel when facing its front. If you would prefer not to drive, Uber, Lyft and other ride share services are another easy and readily available option in the Durham area.

Where should I stay?

Please see the "Travel" tab for our wedding hotel blocks and recommendations for Air BnBs in the area!

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by July 16th, 2025 to give us ample time to alert our venue.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely!! We are overjoyed that many of our family members and friends have young children, and look forward to seeing many of them on the dance floor. Your children should be included in your invite, and if they are not please reach out to Meaghan (9087520762). For families coming with children, when filling out the RSVP, please specify the children who you plan to bring with you to the Reception so that we can ensure proper seating and dinner accommodations. We do understand that the reception does go late for young kids, and we can help arrange babysitters in Durham for guests should you prefer that option.
