Meara and Noah's story began unexpectedly in September 2019. Meara was a high school senior, and Noah was in his senior year at Adrian College. They met one day after Meara's volleyball practice when Noah simply said, “Hey, blue shirt,” catching her off guard. Intrigued, Meara found him on Instagram later and decided to follow him. Not long after, she slid into his DMs, and Noah asked for her Snapchat. From there, they began talking, FaceTiming, and getting to know each other.

A few months later, Noah asked Meara to be his girlfriend, but Meara wasn’t quite ready for a serious commitment. They chose to stay friends and continued checking in with each other over the years. Despite the distance and time apart, their friendship stayed strong until August of 2023, when they reconnected in a way that felt different. Daily conversations turned into nightly phone calls, and by November, Noah flew from Alaska to Indiana to watch Meara’s final three collegiate volleyball games.

On November 6, 2023, Noah asked Meara to be his girlfriend again, and this time, she said yes. Their long-distance relationship blossomed with nightly calls, cherished visits, and a special trip to Escondido, CA. Then, on their one-year anniversary, November 6, 2024, Noah got down on one knee and asked Meara to be his forever.

And she said yes.
