VERY IMPORTANT!

Sorry to be selfish, but this evening is about us, not the US. Please refrain from political discussion until after the evening has ended. Thank you.

What does Cocktail/ Semi Formal mean

Women should opt for a tea-length, knee-length, or midi look, below-the-knee dresses, slip dresses, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant pantsuit (styled with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats). As for men, opt for a dress shirt, sport coat/blazer and slacks, with the option to wear a tie. Tuxes not required.

Do I have a plus one

Sadly, no. This is a very small wedding. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Where can I park at the venue

We will have a valet or you could just park in the lot across from the venue, it is free and available only to us.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony

We all know having a Friday wedding comes with its own set of issues, which is why we have opted to start the ceremony at 6:30pm. We would love to have everyone there at 5:00pm but we know that can be problematic. We have decided to make cocktail hour BEFORE the ceremony. We are planning on doing a majority of our photos before the cocktail hour so that we can spend time with you, our families and friends.

Will I have to pay for alcohol

No! We opted for an open bar. There will be a nice selection of wines, beers, seltzer, and liquor for those 21+. We will also have soft drinks, tea, and water.

Why cocktails before the ceremony

Due to it being a Friday wedding, we want guests to be able to make it to the ceremony but we also do not want to lose that time to spend with you, so we have opted for a welcome party/cocktail hour. After the short ceremony, we will re-open the bar, and sit down for dinner, so that we have more time to party and enjoy the live band we hired to play at our wedding! Please do not feel obligated to rush, the most important part is the ceremony, as long as you are there for that, there is no rush!

What type of food will we be serving

Gomez is our caterer! Cocktail "hour" will be passed and self serve apps and a nacho bar. Dinner will be a Taco Bar. Dessert will be a 3 tier cake from Bonbonerie and apothecary jars of our favorite candies (york peppermint, lemon sheberts, chupa chup lollipops)

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies

Yes, we will have sofritas (tofu) for those who are meat-free. Aside from the meat based proteins, everything should be good for our few vegan/vegetarian friends.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoor

Both! The cocktail hour and ceremony will be outside (weather permitting) and the buffet dinner will be inside! While we enjoy dinner, the outside will be reset for lawn games and later, a fire pit for s'mores!

Outdoor reset- what does that mean

We are converting the outdoor space into a lawn games (giant Jenga, cornhole, connect four) area with high top tables. Our welcome area is being transformed into a conversation area and later, we will have a fire pit for s'mores!

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner

Due to the limitations of our budget, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony or is visiting from the UK. We apologize in advance to those who are not included

Why don't you have a registry

We are moving to the UK in Spring 2026 and we have to downsize significantly. Your presence celebrating with us is gift enough, however, if you feel so inclined, we are always open to monetary gifts and gift cards to help with our relocation (we will be starting out with a few suitcases and boxes). This is the next big adventure for us and we are very excited.

Moving to the UK????

Yes! We have decided to move to the UK in the Spring 2026 for various reasons including quality of life, safety, and proximity to the rest of the world. This is a grand adventure we are undertaking together with Skye. We leave on the Queen Mary 2, in June 2026, for Southampton, UK. We plan to spend a year or two in London before buying a house in somewhat in the south of England.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding

We request that the ceremony be unplugged so that guests are not distracted by their devices and the professional wedding photographer can get the best possible shots without the interference of other flashes or mobile screens. After the ceremony, please feel free to take all the photos you want. Some of the best photos are unexpected candids!

What will the weather be like

Cincinnati weather can be temperamental but the best part of an April wedding is that it is generally warm during the day and cools off to the mid 50s at night. To battle any chill, we will have outdoor heaters and a fire pit. There is always a chance for one of our lovely spring rainfalls but fingers crossed nothing bad happens. We will update the website as we get closer to the event. (I wish I could insert the Miss Congeniality "prefect date" meme here)

What the heck is there to do in Cincinnati

A lot! We have a world renown Zoo nearby, a vibrant downtown scene in OTR, art museums, and even the HALL OF JUSTICE (Union Terminal). If you like beer, Cincinnati has a rich history thanks to its German roots. If you like food, Cincinnati has an ever evolving food scene that boasts James Beard winners and Michelin starred chefs.

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact
