The single greatest thing that Facebook ever did was on one sun-drenched summer afternoon when it happened to place Meg’s photo among Paul’s People You May Know, based on the sixty-plus friends they had in common. For years they had been going to the same shows, even attending the same parties (she was in the living room, he in the back yard) and otherwise grazing elbows and brushing past each other without ever having actually met. The greatest thing Facebook Messenger ever did was to enable Meg to reach out to him some months later, after seeing him on some dating sites and realizing they were already “connected.” Since that fortuitous moment, Paul and Meg met in person, fell in love immediately, and quickly set about making up for any lost time that may have occurred. Now they are all too happily sealing the deal, tying the knot, and altogether getting this show on the road. They, we, are positively ecstatic to share this moment with all of you.
