In January 2017 Andy and I were set up on a blind date by a co-worker! There was a going away party in Slater, Iowa for someone who was moving at the DNR office. I tagged along with some friends, Andy did not know I was coming. I was introduced to Andy at the house, then we proceeded to Night Hawk Bar. Andy bought me a drink and we talked on and off all night. At the end of the night I asked Andy if he was ever going to ask for my number. He did, and on our way back to Boone I got a text from him to which I responded "new phone, who dis." He thought that was pretty funny, so he asked me out on a real first date Tuesday; wings at Toby K's.
