Meg and Sam first met at Kirby Ice House on the night of the 2022 LSU vs. A&M game. Sam, a die-hard Tigers fan, was attempting to distract himself from a devastating loss to the Aggies, when mutual friends introduced him to Meg. What started as a casual night out quickly turned into the beginning of something special.

From that night on, the two were inseparable. Over the next two years, their relationship grew through shared adventures, lots of laughter, a few ranch waters here and there, and countless memories made together.

On December 14, 2024, Meg was under the guise they were headed to go look at River Oaks Christmas lights with friends. When they arrived at her favorite street in the neighborhood to “catch the group limo,” Sam led her to nearby Homewood Park instead. There by the bench in the rose garden, he pulled a ring box out of his boot, got down on one knee, and asked Meg to marry him. The easiest yes of her life!

Homewood Park holds such a special place in their hearts, so it only felt right to feature it on both their save the dates and in many of the photos on this website. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate their big day with the people they love most!
