Our story began at Avondale Brewery, where the atmosphere was electric with excitement for the Iron Bowl. We were both there with our families and friends, eager to watch Alabama–Auburn football rivalry. As fate would have it, we were seated right next to each other, setting the stage for a memorable encounter.

Ben had brought along his adorable dog, Derby, while my brother had his faithful companion, Moose, with him. As a dog lover, I always carry a stash of dog treats in my purse, ready for any canine encounter. Little did I know, this small habit would lead to something truly special.

Throughout the game, Derby, with his keen nose and playful spirit, kept sniffing my purse, irresistibly drawn to the treats hidden inside. It was impossible to ignore his persistence, and soon enough, we both found ourselves laughing and chatting about our beloved dogs, the game, and everything in between.

As the conversation flowed, we discovered a shared love for our furry friends, football season, and so much more. What started as a simple gesture of carrying dog treats turned into a serendipitous moment that brought us together.

Looking back, we often marvel at how a chance seating arrangement and a few dog treats led to the beginning of our beautiful journey together. It's a wonderful reminder that sometimes, the most unexpected moments can lead to the most extraordinary outcomes.
