Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?
Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place in the La Coquina ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort.
There will be a cocktail hour provided between the ceremony and dinner reception.
What time is the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at 5pm.
July is a hot time of year in Florida; will the ceremony be indoors?
Yes! The ceremony and reception will both be indoors (we wouldn’t do that to our loved ones!)
Will there be a room block at the venue?
Yes! We have a limited number of rooms blocked at a reserved rate at the venue, however, there will be additional rooms held at the Candlewood Suites across the street at a reserved rate, as well as at the Hyatt Place just a mile down the road.
Is there a cost for parking at the venue?
On the day of the wedding, the venue is offering a complimentary event parking lot.
For those staying at the venue, who are part of the room block, self parking is discounted to $20 per day (valet would still be $45 per day).
For those staying at the Hyatt Place down the road, parking will be complimentary. Those staying at the Candlewood Suites will have a discounted self-parking rate of $10 per day.
Are kids welcome at the wedding?
As much as we love kiddos, this will be a child-free event.
What is the dress code?
While this will be a semi-formal/dressy-casual wedding, since it's taking place in the middle of a Florida summer, please feel free to dress comfortably and accordingly.
Will there be an open bar?
There will be an open bar during the cocktail hour and reception/dinner. We ask everyone to please be responsible and encourage those who plan to utilize the open bar to consider booking a room for the night and/or securing an Uber or Lyft, if necessary.
Will dinner be plated or buffet style?
Dinner will be plated. Each guest will have a choice between 3 different dishes containing either chicken, beef, or fish (a vegan option will be included!) You will be able to make your dinner selection when RSVP'ing.
For those traveling in, what are some fun activities nearby?
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is right in the heart of the Disney World area! The hotel does offer shuttles to and from the parks (for those willing to go in the middle of summer). Disney Springs is also a great place to check out with some awesome shopping and restaurant options! (The Boathouse and Morimoto Asia are my personal faves). It also has a bowling alley and movie theater.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask that the ceremony itself be unplugged, however, please feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like during the cocktail hour and dinner reception!
