Our Wedding

Joey and Megan met at Westfield State University in the middle of her Sophomore year & his Freshman year. They met through their mutual friend Sarah one night when she was driving them both back to campus.

2016

Joey and Megan at the Big E during the Fall of their junior &amp; senior year.

2017

Megan graduated from WSU &amp; Joey spent the summer in Washington DC interning for the Metropolitan Police Department.

2018

Joey graduated from WSU and Megan started her teaching career in Lowell, MA.

2019

Megan was in the middle of her first year teaching 1st grade and Joey graduated from the Police Academy.

Joey and Megan bought their first home together in Westford, MA.

2022

Joey proposed on January 19th at Megan’s school in front of her students. She was in the middle of teaching Math when he walked into her classroom in uniform. He surprised her kids with a story &amp; Megan with the big question. It was the best day and they later celebrated by surprising family &amp; friends.

Nick is Joey's brother in-law. When Megan and Joey thought about who they wanted to officiate their wedding, they both simultaneously said “Nick”. We are truly blessed to have Nick in our life. His love for Joey’s sister Emily is admirable and he is an inspiration to both of us. We could not think of a better human being to help us tie the knot!

Nicholas DeFusco

Carley has been like a sister to me for the past 20 years. We met at the end of 1st grade when we played on the same softball team and have been inseparable ever since.  She is my true soul sister who has been my other-half through it all. Having Carley next to me on my wedding day is something I have always dreamed of and I wait for the moment to come true. I am beyond lucky to have her as my matron of honor.

Nardina and I have been friends since middle school and instantly became close through the friendship that our families share. We have so many memories together from Black Friday shopping, summers at the lake, sleepovers, spending several hours on the phone and all the crazy nights we have had over the years. Joey and I consider Dina & her husband Jon “our people” & the friendship we have will last a lifetime.  I am so lucky to call her my best friend. 

Nardina Nelson

Lauren and I met in 6th grade and since then she has been one of the most important people in my life. We share a very special bond because she is not just a best friend, she is now my family. We have gone through Middle School, High School, and College together.  Lauren is the person who I know I can lean on to get me through the toughest of times and will always be in my corner. Joey and I are so lucky to have her in our lives and couldn't imagine our wedding day without her.

Sarah and I met our senior year of high school when we both were assigned to the same Kindergarten classroom to observe in. We quickly learned that we were both going off to Westfield State to study education. Little did I know then that she would become not only one of my closest friends but the person to introduce me to my future husband. Joey and Sarah have been friends since High School and worked summers together. To have Sarah in your life is truly a blessing. Joey and I are both so lucky to have such an amazing lifelong friend.

Erin and I have gone through Middle school, High School, and College together. From cross country days, sleepovers,  living together freshmen year, Disney, Cancun, and all the crazy times in-between, Erin has always been there as one of my closet friends. She is the person who makes me laugh the hardest and is infectious to be around. I love her so much and can't wait for her to be apart of our big day!

Sarah and I met freshman year at Westfield State. Over the past few years we have gotten extremely close and she is someone who I can always count on. Whether it's having girls nights, talking on the phone, or date nights with Joey & Jordan, we always have the best time together. Sarah is one of the strongest and most caring people I know.  She is an amazing friend and I am so grateful to have her by my side on my wedding day.

Emily is the big sister I have always wanted. I truly hit the jackpot when it comes to sister-in-laws! Emily is someone who I look up to in every aspect and she has become one of my closest friends over the years. Emily and Joey share such a special bond and she is such an important person in our lives.   I felt so honored to be by her side on her wedding day and I can’t wait for her to be there next to me on mine!

Nick and I met freshman year at Westfield State University and quickly became best of friends. Our friendship and bond I know will last a lifetime. From roommates in college to nights at the banshee, these are memories I will never forget. I am so blessed to have Nick as my best man.

Nick Rizk

Nicholas is Megan’s middle brother. We have become so close over the course of Megan and I’s relationship. We are so proud of all he has overcome and achieved. Nicholas, Megan, and I were lucky enough to all attend Westfield State University at the same time. My friends and I took Nicholas under our wing. I am so lucky to not only get to call him my brother, but my friend. 

Nicholas Bartleman

Throughout Megan and I’s relationship Jake has become like a little brother to me. We have become so close over the years and I am so happy to have him as a brother in law. One of my favorite memories with Jake was always playing Madden with him in the Bartleman’s basement and him shutting the Xbox off before he would lose, every time. Jake means the world to Megan and I and we are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Nick and I met at Westfield State University. Nick has become one of my closest friends over the years. From our nights at Shepard Street to singing on the table at Dot Ave, I can always count on nick for a good time. Nick and I especially bond over our mutual love for Morgan Wallen.

Aidan and I met at Westfield State University. Aidan and I quickly built a strong friendship during our time in college. We ended up being roommates in Washington DC when we did a semester of college together there. Our friendship has grown and continued after college. Megan and I are happy to have Aidan be part of our wedding day!

Aidan O'Connell

Tristan is one of my best childhood friends. Our friendship has grown from elementary school all the way into our adulthood. Tristan is that kind of friend that I can go a period of time without seeing but when we get together it’s like we never skipped a beat! Tristan is a life long friend and I am so happy to have him apart of my special day.

Connor is one of my best friends from Westford. Connor is the life of the party and I can always count on Connor for a good laugh. Connor and I have had so many amazing memories from high school and into our adult lives. Connor is a loyal friend and we are so happy to have him be part of our wedding day!

Ryan and I have been friends since elementary school. We became closer throughout our time at Westford Academy. I consider Ryan one of my best friends. Ryan is loyal and reliable and I know I can always count on him. I’m so lucky to have a friend like Ryan.

Ryan McNabb

Jordan and I became friends at Westfield State University. Jordan has become one of my closest friends over the last few years. Our friendship is special in the fact that Jordan’s fiancée Sarah is also in the wedding party. Jordan is the life of the party and our time together is never dull. Our nights together usually end in Jordan and I singing karaoke at 3am. I requested Jordan sing at our reception due to his phenomenal singing voice, however I will need the help of all of you to pressure him into it.

Wedding Party

Q + A

The Residence Inn is the primary hotel that the wedding party &amp; bride/groom will be staying at. It is 10 minutes from our venue and there will be transportation provided to and from this hotel to the wedding venue. Our room block expires May 1st so please plan accordingly.
