Megan and Michael met in the summer of 2014 when Michael began working at Country Donuts. Soon after they realized that they were in the same summer film class at MCC and from there a friendship began to blossom. In February of 2015 Michael began walking Megan to a few of her classes and the two began to communicate on a regular basis. In March of 2015 the two had their first date at Yumz and on April 23, 2015 Michael asked Megan to be his girlfriend.

In the fall of 2015 Michael started school at Western Illinois University and Megan started school at Eastern Illinois University. For the next two years the couple had a long distance relationship and saw each other on school breaks, holidays and the occasional visit to each others schools.

After college both Megan and Michael got “adult jobs” and began saving to move in together. On June 29, 2021 they bought their first home and on March 8, 2022 they adopted their fur baby, Brynn.

After 7 years together Michael popped the question on December 27, 2022 by sending Megan on a scavenger hunt all around the house which ended with a proposal under the Christmas tree!

Megan and Michael cannot wait to celebrate with all of their family and friends on August 3, 2024 and are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together as husband and wife!
