This is one of our favorite places, where we had our first date and got engaged! You can't go wrong with anything there, whether it's a stroll down the main shopping strip or grabbing a bite to eat. We especially love taking a train ride from the downtown station.

Visitors can take a ride on this historic train that runs along the Lehigh River through the gorge. It’s a scenic, relaxing way to take in the natural beauty of the area, especially in the fall when the foliage is at its peak.

Where our proposal happened! Out on the main porch, overlooking part of downtown. The Asa Packer Mansion is open to the public as a museum. Visitors can take guided tours of the home, learning about the life and legacy of Asa Packer and experiencing the opulence of 19th-century life. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an important landmark in Jim Thorpe.

Located in the heart of Jim Thorpe, this museum offers insight into the town's history, especially its roots in coal mining and the history of the railroad.

This state park, located just outside Jim Thorpe, offers beautiful landscapes with the Lehigh River running through it. Popular activities include hiking, biking, kayaking, and scenic train rides. The Lehigh Gorge Trail runs along the river and is great for cycling or hiking.

Located about 20 minutes from Jim Thorpe, Hickory Run State Park is known for its stunning Boulder Field, a unique natural feature. The park also offers hiking, fishing, and picnicking in a serene environment.
