Q + A

When is the wedding?

Our wedding will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Guests should arrive before 4:00 PM to ensure they are seated prior to the ceremony.

Where is the wedding?

We have chosen the beautiful Wildflower Farm for our special day! It is located at 6816 KY-486 in Sandy Hook, KY. We suggest that you input this address in your GPS prior to departing for the venue, as it is a rural area with no cell phone reception. The bride and groom will not be available on the day of the wedding to provide directions. Please plan to drive or carpool to the venue; ride-share services (Uber, Lyft) are not available in this area.

Will the ceremony be held indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will take place in a beautiful open-air chapel. The chapel has a fully covered ceiling, but is open on all sides. Average temperatures in April can vary greatly. Please carefully watch the weather and dress accordingly based on the predicted temperatures. We will make every effort to keep our guests warm during the ceremony if the weather is unusually chilly. The reception will be held indoors.

Where will the reception take place?

Our reception will be held on-site at Wildflower Farms. Guests may walk to the reception hall immediately after the ceremony concludes to help themselves to beverages while the couple takes photos with family.

What type of food will be served at the reception?

We will be serving delicious pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket, with sides including mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, baked beans, cole slaw, and an assortment of barbecue sauces. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let the couple know ASAP so accommodations can be made.

Can we just text you our RSVP?

While we love to hear from all our friends and family, we ask that everyone use the QR code or wedding website link provided in your invitation to RSVP for our wedding. Our wedding website collects these RSVPs for us, keeping them all organized and in one place! If for some reason you cannot RSVP digitally, you may contact the bride or groom directly.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Come dressed in your Sunday best! Florals and bright, spring colors are encouraged!

Should we bring a gift?

Your presence on our special day is the gift! Those wishing to purchase a gift for the bride and groom are encouraged to shop from our registry, which is linked here on our wedding website (also available on Amazon). We also happily welcome cash gifts, which we will put toward our honeymoon!

Are plus-ones welcome?

Your invitation will be addressed to you and your plus one if we are able to accommodate them. If you have any questions, reach out to the bride or groom directly.

Are children welcome?

We love you, and your children! Please let the bride and groom know in advance if you plan to bring them, so adjustments can be made to food and beverage quantities.

Is alcohol allowed on the premises?

Alcohol is only allowed inside the reception barn. No alcohol is permitted inside the wedding chapel, or the bridal suite. Beer and wine coolers will be provided at the reception. The couple kindly insist that no guests bring or consume liquor on the premises.

Does the venue allow smoking?

There is absolutely NO SMOKING (cigarettes) allowed on the grounds of Wildflower Farms. The bride and groom are subject to fines if guests smoke cigarettes and leave their debris on venue property. If you are a cigarette smoker, you are welcome to smoke in your vehicle and dispose of your cigarette butts there. Vape or e-cigarette use is permitted outdoors only (NOT in the wedding chapel or reception barn).

Are there nearby accommodations?

We respectfully ask that all guests in need of accommodations make their own arrangements well in advance, as we do not have a designated hotel room block. The nearest hotel accommodations can be found in either Grayson or Morehead, KY. Carter Caves State Resort Park also has a beautiful lodge and rental cabins available in Olive Hill, KY. Alternative lodging options can be found on Airbnb. We recommend searching for rentals in the Olive Hill, Grayson, Morehead, or Sandy Hook area.

Is overnight parking allowed?

Guests who plan on consuming alcohol at the reception should plan their travel home accordingly. If you have been drinking, please DO NOT DRIVE. Any vehicles left overnight must be retrieved promptly the next morning (before 10:00 AM). The bride & groom are subject to fines for any vehicles remaining at the venue past 10:00 AM on Sunday, April 26.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Yes, both the wedding chapel and reception barn are handicap accessible.
