Nick and Megan first met in high school. They locked eyes in the hallway and just knew that had to get to know each other. They were friends and talked constantly throughout the next three years. Once Nick graduated from high school, they fell out of touch but remained friends. After almost 3 years without really talking to each other, Nick messaged Megan and their love just grew. Within weeks they were completely head over heals for each other and knew that this was the real deal.

Megan convinced Nick to go to UW-Platteville with her to study theatre. They spent the next two years putting away countless hours working on different shows together. The most memorable show was the opening day of Noises Off. Megan was the stage manager and Nick played Selsdon Mowbray. Before every show, the cast and crew would get together to get their show jitters out by doing something they called "Zap!" (standing in a circle while holding hands and, starting with one person, stomping their feet continually until they get to the last person in the circle and everyone jumps). Instead of jumping up, Nick got down on one knee and proposed to Megan right their with their second family!

They decided to wait until they had both graduated college before even beginning to plan a wedding. They were supposed to spend the summer of 2018 planning their wedding for the following year. Instead, they were offered a job to work at a theatre company in Michigan for the summer! They put the wedding on hold and packed up their car to go on an adventure for 3 months together. After coming back to Wisconsin, Nick went back to college for his last semester and Megan began working full time. Once Nick had graduated, they decided it was time to start planning their dream wedding for 2020 during their favorite season.
