Our Wedding

On October 26th, 2016 I walked into Westboro Toyota and both of our lives changed forever. I wound up buying a car from Bryan and We stayed friends for a while exchanging texts here and there and occasionally meeting up when I went in for service. While Bryan claims he knew immediately that I was the one, it took me a little longer. On Valentine’s Day of 2018 Bryan sent me a picture of a Valentine he made for me. It said “Megan Copenhaver (front) will you be my Valentine? Yes, No, Maybe (inside).” I immediately fell head over heels for him. At the time Bryan had a broken foot so we had spent months texting each other and watching Criminal Minds together (by pressing the play button at the same time). But shortly after the infamous Valentine, we started hanging out and became “official” on March 4, 2018.5 years to the date after we met for the first time, October 26, 2021 Bryan asked me to marry him. But for you who don’t know, Bryan did it in his normal Bryan fashion. Bryan enjoyed tricking me throughout the years, pretending that he was going to pop the question or dramatically get down on one knee…to tie his shoe. And just like every other time, he tricked me again. After a long day of shopping and running errands I was busy putting all of the stuff away. Bryan said, “I’ve been wanting to ask you this for a long time”, I turned around and he had a box in his hand. At first I got excited but it only lasted seconds because I knew it was a trick. He opened the box and it was tickets to see Pretty Woman the musical. Pretty Woman is hands down my favorite movie so I was very excited, gave him a hug and then smacked him for tricking me, again. I went back to putting stuff away and when I turned around he was on one knee with the ring in his hand. I remember him saying that he’s been wanting to ask me for a long time but wanted to ask my Papa first, and then I lost it. Balled my eyes out like a little baby and missed everything else he said. Once I stopped crying for the first time that night I said yes. Then he pulled out a little heart, just like the one from Valentines Day that said “Megan Copenhaver (front) will you marry me? Yes, No, Maybe (inside).” Again I fell apart in tears and he held me in his arms. I know people find love in crazy places, but a Toyota dealership? Really? Well it worked for us. We are both very excited to get married and share our special day with everyone!
