Air BNB and VRBO are another great option and may be more economical than hotels for families/groups. All of the neighborhoods are great- Wallingford, Green Lake, Queen Anne, etc.
I'd recommend steering clear of the University District if possible for housing. There are great restaurants and bars there! Just more of a college kid vibe
