As for most things in our lives we were introduced to each other through the gym. We both went to Gold's Gym and knew of each other but were in other relationships at the time and did not talk all that much but we would hang out in the same social group (Fun Fact: We even went on a double date a few times.). A few years passed by and we were finally both single. Megan was the one that made the first move. Thanks to an Instagram story and a picture of my dog Diesel, Megan messaged me saying “Diesel is so cute and that we should hang out.” That message led to our first date; we went out Halloween weekend in Downtown San Jose. We split a chicken bacon quesadilla in San Pedro Square and it seemed like we were the only ones not wearing costumes. We finished our food and the rest of the night was filled with AMF’s, laughs and our first kiss. We made our relationship official on November 3rd and Megan met my family that Thanksgiving. Fast forward a week before our 4-year anniversary, I mustered up the courage and asked for the blessing of Steve and Sue to marry Megan. They both gave me their blessing and Megan’s grandma Anita passed down her wedding ring so that Megan would always have it with her. On our 4th anniversary I was getting ready to ask the most important question of our lives. I wanted to surprise Megan in case she had any suspicion of my plan. So, I made reservations for that night at Flemming's to throw her off. That was not where I planned to propose though, I woke up early the morning of our anniversary before work and made her breakfast. On the table beside breakfast were flowers and a card. As Megan read the card, I got on one knee and waited for her to read the final words on the note “So… You wanna do this?”. Megan made me a lucky man by saying yes and then began our journey to Happily Ever After where we prepare to celebrate us getting married with the most important people in our lives.
