Megan and Sam met in college and both played soccer at THE Wittenberg University. Megan was an all-star, she had many all-conference accolades including ALL DECADE! Sam tried his hardest.

Although, Megan and Sam did not date in college, Sam wanted dearly to reconnect with Megan. His brilliant idea was to start an co-ed indoor soccer team with other former members of the men's and women's soccer teams. It was a GREAT idea at the time, but as always, God had other plans and a sick sense of humor. During their third game of the season, Sam tore his ACL and was out of commission and unable to finish the season. Sadly, Megan and Sam did not reconnect until almost a year later where Megan had made her fondness of Sam known via Hinge. Sam quickly began texting Megan and eagerly asked her on a date.

Their first date was at Mac's Proper Pub during the peak of COVID-19. Facemasks do not conjure the most romantic moments. Therefore, a first kiss was unable to occur. Sam had a brilliant idea, "I'll make her my favorite dinner (Italian Sausage Pasta) and invite her over for the second date. No facemasks required!" Nervous, Sam forgot half of the spices. Luckily Megan did not notice a thing. They enjoyed a nice glass of red wine, while Sam finished up the cooking. Once Sam finally gained the courage, he kissed Megan and the rest was history!
