It was a normal day of work at The Melting Pot.  Just finished class and was starting my serving shift. This random guy was behind the bar and of course I had to take a peek. I pop my head through the bar window and just blurted out, "Well aren't you the cutest Asian I have ever seen!" At first, we were just co-workers; Will with his group of friends and me with mine. As time went on and both of us taking hiatuses from the Melting Pot, ventured with different relationships, we both returned to Melting Pot for work.   One long night shift I asked if he wanted to join us for a drink after work.  After begging (which I don't do very often) he finally agreed. And that night was the beginning of the rest of our lives together. 
        Jump to Christmas 2017.  We have now been together going on 4 years. Everyone, I mean everyone was asking us when we were going to tie the knot. We had a trip planned to California for New Year's to celebrate Maggie and Brandon's wedding. I knew it was going to happen on our trip and so did everyone else.   We had just gotten home from a lovely Christmas dinner with my parents and I'm just yapping away but he was quiet. Too quiet. So I turned around and in front of our Christmas tree, Will is on one knee saying he has one more present. In this tiny porcelain box was the ring he designed and asked for my hand in marriage. Of course I said yes! I was laugh-crying so hard I had so much snot all over my face. He got me. Total surprise.  After I pulled myself together, I asked him the big question: did you ask for my parents blessing...his response: of course...wouldn't have it any other way. 
      We have a phrase between the both of us, that we are our matching puzzle pieces. We fit perfectly and compliment each other. We wouldn't have it any other way. April 6, 2019, here we come!
