We met at Georgia Southern University in spring of 2021. We went on our first date for my 20th birthday to Chilis in Statesboro. On our third date, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We were on River Street in Savannah eating ice cream by the river. Still one of our favorite spots to go!
We both graduated from Georgia Southern and moved to Savannah.
The day we got engaged, completely caught me (Megan) by surprise! I thought we were just going to brunch date on a Saturday morning.
As we started to walk through the park we got near the fountain and there is where I noticed a dozen roses and a bottle of prosecco! As we began to walk towards them and Mitch asks do you know whats happening?
I am so excited at this point I’m speechless!! Mitch then points out our friend who was there to take pictures. He gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him, easiest yes ever!!
What went from a short walk in Forsyth Park before brunch turned into a surprise proposal with our friend there to take pictures of it all! (and we did still get our brunch date)
