Our Wedding

Seth and Megan’s story first began in the fall of 2019. They both were students at UE and had seen each other around on campus at club events. With some courage, Seth asked Megan out to dinner and she said yes! She almost backed out of the date last minute due to getting home really late from an out of town volleyball tournament, but thankfully Seth was persistent. They went to Olive Garden on November 23rd for their first date, and it went amazing! From then on, they were hooked. They were always finding time to see one another through studying together in the library, running to Walmart for ice cream, going to concerts, spending time outdoors, running through the drive through at Rally’s, and meeting each others friends and families! With each passing year their love grew stronger and stronger. They even overcame several months apart during the pandemic! Seth introduced Megan to his favorite hobby, the world of hunting (and she put on a brave face for it). In return, Megan brought Seth along for her favorite camping and float trips on numerous occasions. They got to celebrate so many birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries alongside one another! They even got to celebrate graduating together in 2022 when they both finished their undergraduate degrees. They then started their journey of navigating long distance while Seth was living in Jasper and Megan was living in Evansville or St. Louis. When they got opportunities to see one another, they were able to share some of their favorite activities. Things like doing puzzles, working out, playing pickleball, making new recipes, hiking, and fishing. The past couple of years have been filled with many vacations to destinations like Florida, Table Rock Lake Missouri, Utah, the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, and Mexico. They have enjoyed standing by many of their friends and family as they got married and are so excited that it is now their turn to have a wedding and celebrate their love! Megan and Seth are looking forward to this year ahead filled with many milestones and big moments. They are excited to soon no longer have to do long distance, to find a home that is perfect for them, and start building their lives together. This is just the beginning of their story!

Olive and Megan first met in 2018 when touring the University of Evansville at a weekend event called "Road Trip". They went on to become roommates their freshman year and from that day forward they were inseparable! They both recently graduated physical therapy school, so please, only refer to them as Doctor. The most important things to know about Olive are= she loves to dance, will one day own a beach house, is cofounder of hard calloused gorls, and is faster than you when it comes to out running a snake.

Emily and Megan first met the first couple weeks into college at UE, but if you ask Emily this is simply not true. They spent their time hammocking in the trees in various temperatures, mentoring a fun clan of “Freshman babies” in a bible study, and dominating intramurals. Emily is now a phenomenal elementary educator! The most important things to know about Emily are= she loves her bunnies and hubby, will probably refer to Megan with many various nicknames, and does not ever blow dry her hair.

Katie and Megan met at UE and quickly became friends due to their lack of sorority-ness. Katie has an invincible immune system that can be credited to the bacterial cultures she grew in her blue water bottle (RIP). She is a rock star nurse who has been  in Utah for the past couple years. The most important things to know about Katie are = she has the best quotes, loves a good late night salmon dinner, has an infectious laugh, but no sense of smell.

Sarah and Megan met at UE as well! When Sarah was not busy trying new foods in Ridgeway, she was out crushing the Evansville half marathon with sleepy friends cheering her on. Sarah also became a nurse working in the neuro ICU! The most important things to know about Sarah are= she once lost her keys in a snowman and drivers license on a rollercoaster, will go crazy for Taylor Swift, and is married to Mr. Worldwide.

Molly and Megan have been friends, roommates, and fellow physical therapy students during their time at UE. (Please also refer to Molly as Doctor only, per her recent graduation). Molly and Megan had the opportunity to bond through their amazing art skills as well as working in the fitness center. The most important things to know about Molly are= she loves attending and rating events at the purple palooza, is an avid Jonas brothers fan, and is a worthy pickleball partner.

Kaitlynn and Megan met way back when the happy couple first started dating as she is Seth’s little sister. Kaitlynn is currently going to school to work towards becoming a nurse! She can be found hanging with her side kick Brennen, working as a tech in the ER, and babysitting kiddos. The most important things to know about Kaitlynn are= she always knows fun spots to go on vacation, has the cutest style, and will most definitely beat you in a game of softball.

Eli and Seth were bonded over the countless hours spent traveling the country as college fishing partners. They were brought close together freshman year of college after spending 4 years of high school as county rivals. Throughout college, Eli and Seth were most likely at Bdubs for BOGO wings with one of the other groomsmen, hunting, fishing(obviously), discussing life, playing pool, and telling jokes into wee hours of the morning. If he isn’t fishing, tinkering with his boat, tuning a bow, hunting, or playing golf, Eli can be found running a business that him and a buddy from home started in the basement of their college house.

Eli Lubbehusen 

Known by many as Soli, Ahmed and Seth began their friendship freshman year of college during welcome week. From then on, they spent countless hours in their dorm playing pool, eating pizza, doing homework together, going to Bdubs for BOGO boneless wings, and somehow maneuvering engineering school. Soli is originally from Egypt, where his family currently resides. If he isn’t working at Berry Plastics, he can be found playing soccer or helping coach a local youth soccer team. (Be sure to ask him all about his soccer skills)

Ahmed Solaiman (Soli)

Brendon and Seth met freshman year of college as they both were in the civil engineering program. Outside of classes together they chatted each other up over their passion of guns and cars. Brendon was a part-time roommate of Seth’s spending many hours at the house studying, hanging out, playing darts, and listening to whatever bizarre music they could find on spotify. He currently lives in Delaware, along with his wife Mariah who also attended UE. With Brendon’s past as a college track and field athlete, he will be sure to show some people how to break it down on the dance floor and have a good time.

Trey and Seth met as classmates freshman year of college and eventually became roommates senior year. They spent countless hours struggling through engineering school, but also making the most of everything. Trey is known for lacking the ability to sleep, his nervous leg bounce, breaking numerous college track and field records, and naming his pets after different animals. Trey currently lives in Fort Worth Texas with his now fiancé Kylie and works for an engineering firm dealing in hydraulic pipe design and manufacturing.

Jacob and Seth met just a few months after Megan and Seth had their first date. Ever since, they have grown close together sharing their passions for guns, cars, and lots of outdoor activities. Jacob is currently in school finishing his Master’s Degree from UT Austin in Aerospace Engineering. Along with his passion for anything that flies, Jacob is an avid discgolfer, mountain biker, and climbing enthusiast.

Evan and Seth met right around the time Jacob and Seth met. Evan was only 14 at the time, but him and Jacob grew into the brothers that Seth never had. He is a passionate baseball player who is committed to play D1 baseball for Valparaiso University in the spring of 2025, and is an avid gym goer who will most likely be caught flexing in a mirror wherever he can find one.

There are endless activities to do in St. Louis in the summer. Here are some options to check out while you are in town if you’d like!

Check out the many shops and restaurants on the brick-paved streets of the historic district on main street. (Grandmas Cookies is one of the most famous!) You can also take a walk along the Missouri River right nearby. It is about 25 minutes from the hotels listed on our website. If you have little ones, or just like animals, Big Joel’s Safari would be a perfect place to explore! It is only about 20 minutes from the hotels listed.

There are numerous golf courses around the area, including Incline Village Golf Course and Innsbrook Golf Course.

If you are willing to drive about 40 minutes from the hotels listed, you can spend a day at Six Flags on some fun rollercoasters. They have a good amusement park and water park (called Hurricane Harbor)!

The B&B movie theater is extremely close to both hotels listed on the Travel section on our website, specifically the Hampton Inn.

There is of course all the well known favorite attractions near downtown St. Louis available, such as = Busch Stadium with the Cardinals, the Zoo, numerous casinos, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Forest Park, the Science Center, the City Museum, the Arch, the Delmar Loop, Aquarium at Union Station, and Anheuser-Busch Brewery.
