We met the summer of 2016, I had just started working at a daycare with Lori (Zach’s mom). Zach had recently left from the daycare and started a new job. I had heard lots about Zach, and wanted to meet him. One day I got the chance to meet him. He came back to the daycare to see the children he had helped and who missed him. We instantly hit it off and I remember thinking he was so funny and good with children. He was someone I wanted to be around and see more often. I started asking Lori more about him, trying to see if he was available. He was dating someone at the time, so I decided to take a step back and not ask about him anymore.
Later that summer, I had learned he had broken up with his girlfriend. The children all missed him, and he decided to visit again by helping us on a fishing field trip. He helped me when I got a fish hook stuck in my finger and made sure I was okay. We again started talking, and became quick friends. He started visiting the daycare more, during lunches, to talk to me.
My grandma was moving to a new home and we needed help moving. I felt a sudden urge to ask him to help us. So I called his mom who was still my coworker at the time, and much to her surprise, he decided to help me move my grandma into a new home on a Saturday morning after he had stayed up late the night before. That’s when Lori says she knew it was serious. He met my family members and helped us move in the summer heat.
After that we talked regularly, and Zach wanted to take me to a pizza restaurant. It was October 2016 and we decided to go to Nancy’s pizza restaurant. The Cubs were playing one of games in the World Series. We watched the game with another couple, and it was perfect. Later we decided to go see a random movie that neither of us knew anything about, just to spend more time together.

7 years later we have both finished college, moved up in careers, bought a house, a car, and adopted 3 adorable pets plus added my previous dog to the mix, to create our family of 6. We have created a love that is perfect because it’s ours. We are so excited to start this new chapter of marriage.
