Our story begins in 2004- we think. But fast forward to to July 11th 2008, when our son was born! Two teenagers that became parents at a young age, trying to navigate through life & parenting.

Dan was in the military so he was back and forth within deployments and it wasn't always picture perfect. We struggled, we fought, we made up and firmly believe that because of everything we went through, we are stronger today from it.

Over the years, we navigated life together, eventually living in a small apartment in Germantown, adopting a dog, and learning how to parent a teenager. In 2022, we purchased our first home and moved to Frederick. In 2023, came the question everyone had been waiting for.

June 19th 2023!

From the beginning, Megan swore up and down Dan would NEVER be able to pull off a proposal. But boy oh boy, was I wrong!

We were on vacation with Dan's family in St. Augustine, Florida.

The day started with some time at the beach, then we went downtown St Augustine. Visiting all the stops and shops along the way. The rain was moving in quick so Dan had a very short window to get me to the spot he wanted before it down poured.

Would I not be myself if I didn't try to ruin my own proposal? Trying to skip out of dinner, getting my dress wet minutes before he got down on one knee, deciding to go to the bathroom in that 10 minute window before the rain.

Looking out into the water and all I heard was "Megan, Megan...TURN AROUND" With all the sass, turning around- complete and utter shock. There he was, on one knee with the ocean and the palm trees in the background.

How he managed to get our son in on it, and all of our friends and family knew back home. Total picture perfect.
