In case you were wondering, YES our wedding ceremony is starting at 4:28PM in the afternoon, and YES it's for a reason!
428 S. Central located in Chanute, KS was home to many of the groom's family and extended family members, going back 3 generations. The grooms mother was raised there with her 6 siblings and the home was nothing short of boasting with life and love. The front door seems better referred to as a revolving one, as groovy dance moves (pictured above), a late night steak, and good company were always welcome. As the mother of the groom puts it, "the house was constant chaos. The only thing structured about it was that everyone had to be at church Sunday morning."
Over the years the number 428 has developed a unique identity of its own amongst the grooms extended family. It has grown to epitomize the spirit(s) of the house that stood at this address where so many family members had the privilege of calling home.
It is our wish for our marriage to start exactly with the same love and life that house once knew, and we hope for it to honor the family members who lived there that are unable to physically be with us on our wedding day.
