We met on the dating app “Bumble”. basically your standard dating app swipe right if interested swipe left if not. We both swiped right on each other and we hit it off talking right away. Two weeks later we went on our first date. It was September 2020 and options for places to go were still limited. We decided to go to “Olive Garden” for dinner. Then Olive Garden turned into let’s get “Dunkin’”and that turned into let’s sit in the parking lot and talk. Neither one of us had ever been on a better first date and didn’t want the night to end. As they say, the rest was history and we officially started dating Christmas Eve 2020.

Fast forward to our third dating anniversary. We had talked about getting married for quite a while. Knowing it was our anniversary, I had a slight feeling a proposal could happen that day. But as the day went on and church Christmas Eve service had ended and we were driving back to my parents house, my excitement had faded and I didn’t think it was going to happen that day. We get into the living room and Brandon tells me he didn’t forget it was our anniversary and had another gift for me. He pulled out a ring box and got down on one knee in the same place my dad proposed to my mom exactly 30 years prior. It was the sweetest moment and we are so excited for all the great moments to come at our wedding and in our lives as husband and wife!
