After deciding to go in a different direction with his career and simultaneously feeling the Lord’s nudge to go back home, Gunnar left Fort Worth and moved back to San Angelo. Not knowing what the Lord had in store for him, he trusted that San Angelo was where was supposed to be.
Meanwhile... following the summer after her college graduation, Megan felt a similar nudge from the Lord to move back to San Angelo, despite her own plans. Not knowing why the Lord had put a setback to her plans, she decided to wait in San Angelo for a short time in hopes of saving up some money for a big move to Colorado, but unbeknownst to her, she would soon meet the love of her life.
Gunnar and Megan attended their Church life group Christmas party days before their first date. It was at this party that mutual friends had the idea to set the two up. And after one blind date, the rest is history!
Their mutual pursuit of the Lord, love for dogs, enthusiasm for HomeGoods, and appetite for Olive Garden, among other things, sparked what can only be described as the greatest love they have ever experienced on this side of Heaven. Even in their brief time together, they have grown deeper in their faith and closer to one another as a result.
Though a short time of being together, they knew from the beginning that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together! And they can’t wait for the day when they will make that holy commitment to each other in front of friends and family!
