Our Story

Finally!

Picture of Finally!

Brandon and I are lucky to share a truly awesome story! His parents and mine have known each other, and been playing shuffleboard together, for years. My son and I had been going to his mom's house the last few years during the 4th of July to hang out on the river, and this last year her boys decided to come hang out as well. Brandon did not show up until the LAST day of the trip in late afternoon, but I will never forget seeing him walk through his mom's back gate. I thought to myself... "Ooooh boy, I'm in trouble!" He and I ended up staying up on Cheryl's back patio talking until 5:30 in the morning the next day and have really been inseparable since! The fact that we lived so far apart was but a brief thought, as we quickly fell in love. Every weekend since we met, either he or myself has made the drive to see one another. Let it be my house, his house or the ranch! We were not going to let a single opportunity to be together escape us. Brandon proposed to me on November 9th 2023 in the exact place that we met. He had me fooled, as I thought we were going to Wurstfest with his parents, and I nearly got proposed to wearing a traditional German dirndl! Thankfully he advised me to just bring it, in case no one else decided to dress up! We are so happy and so excited to start our life together! Elidjah and I will finally be moving to Spring Branch at the end of May 2024, once he graduates 5th grade, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Wedding planning, while stressful and difficult, has proven to be more fun and exciting than I had ever imagined! I think even Brandon is enjoying himself in planning! We are so very excited to begin this next chapter in our life, as we join hands in marriage and watch our families grow and become one! Thank you to every one of you who are coming to support and celebrate us as we begin this new, never-ending journey! We love y'all!
