St Petersburg is a peninsula off of Tampa that is surrounded by water. The eastern side or "bay side" is where downtown St Pete is located. The western side contains all the beaches. The drive from beaches to DTSP is about 20 minutes depending on the beach. Alternatively, there is a trolley called the SunRunner that will take you from the beaches to downtown. Flying
Tampa International Airport is about 20 minutes from St Pete and flies all major airlines.
St Pete-Clearwater International Airport is about 15 minutes from Downtown St Pete. This is an Allegiant only airport and has direct flights from certain regional airports.
Driving
The drive from both Omaha and Green Lake is about 20 hours for people who enjoy a nice road trip!

There are ample AirBnB rentals or VRBO options. If you are wanting to stay closer to the beaches, I recommend St Pete Beach. There is a transit called the Sun Runner that will take you from the beaches to Downtown St Pete!
