We first met in 2018 when Kyle became good friends with Meg’s brother, Alex. We shared a mutual friend group which would meet weekly at a local taproom to hang out and play games. We were just acquaintances until over a year (and a pandemic) later when we met up again shortly before Alex’s wedding in the summer of 2021. There must have been some kind of spark between us that night, because after our meeting, Kyle resolved to ask Meg to dance at the wedding and Meg was set on asking him out on a date. Of course, word got out and the jitters set in. Several encouraging friends pushed us onto the dance floor together and Meg promptly asked Kyle out for a date and if he’d like to make the switch to a nearby bench to chat. We ended up talking for two hours and spent the rest of the wedding celebration together. Our first date was several days later, to which we closed the restaurant down and left to get ice cream so the conversation could continue. The rest is history🤍
