Megan and Grant’s love story began in the most classy way possible—at Roxie’s in Laramie, WY, during the legendary annual event, White Trash Bash. Megan initially went up to Grant’s friend to say hello, but somehow ended up in conversation with Grant instead. Sounds like fate, right? Well… alcohol had other plans. By the next day, neither of them actually remembered meeting each other. But destiny (and social media) weren’t going to let their story end there. A week later, Megan messaged Grant’s roommate with one simple question: “Who was your friend?” With that information, she slid into Grant’s Instagram DMs with the now-iconic line: “Drunk Megan met you over the weekend but sober Megan would also like to meet you too.” The rest, as they say, is history. From that message to today, their story has been filled with laughter, adventures, and the kind of love that was clearly meant to be—even if it needed a little help from Instagram.

How We Met

When Megan and Grant met, Megan was living in Cheyenne, working hard on her career, while Grant had just graduated from respiratory therapy school in Casper. Soon after, Grant landed a job at a hospital in Billings, MT—meaning their relationship would face its first big test right away: long distance. Most couples get to start their journey with Friday date nights, spontaneous plans, and daily hangouts. Megan and Grant got FaceTime calls, long drives, and counting down the days until their next visit. The 452 miles between them weren’t easy, but they made it work, building a love that was strong, patient, and full of adventure. For three years, they navigated life in different cities, learning that love isn’t just about being in the same place—it’s about choosing each other every day, no matter the miles in between. It wasn’t always easy, but they knew one thing for sure: this was the real deal.

It’s Only 454 Miles!

After three years of long distance, Grant finally moved to Cheyenne to be with Megan. They made a cozy one-bedroom house their first shared home until Grant received an incredible job offer as the Respiratory Therapy Program Director. This brought them back to Casper, where they upgraded to a three-bedroom house with a big backyard—perfect for Megan’s dog, Manning. Their little family grew when they adopted Mac, officially making their house a two-dog home.

Closing The Distance

On a cold, snowy day at the Denver Botanical Gardens, Grant planned the perfect surprise. He led Megan to a platform overlooking the lush greenery, and as she turned around to take a picture, she noticed something suspicious—her sister and friends standing nearby, phones and cameras ready. Before she could even process what was happening, Megan turned back around to see Grant down on one knee. Completely stunned, it took her at least a minute to say yes—not because she wasn’t sure, but because she couldn’t believe her eyes. But when reality hit, her answer was clear: YES!

The YES Day! 

After five years of love, adventure, and making long-distance work, Megan and Grant are ready to start their next chapter—together, forever. They can’t wait to celebrate with all of you as they finally say “I do!” Let the celebrations begin!
