Shawn and Megan met through Mark Zuckerberg, funnily enough. It was the pandemic's beginning stages, and while everyone was panic buying, Shawn and Megan were playing Animal Crossing.

Megan's retail gig was on hiatus. She spent her days talking to her Animal Crossing islanders and deleting and redownloading dating apps.

Shawn was getting used to his new apartment and working remotely at his marketing gig. Like everyone, he was also playing the new Animal Crossing game.

Megan reopened her profile on Facebook Dating one day while drinking coffee and waiting for her friends to fly into her island. She absentmindedly swiped thinking that every man and woman looked like old hamburger meat to her. She thought, "Maybe...I am meant to be alone with my cats. Maybe I should just start to be ok with the fact that a long-term relationship may not be in the cards for me..."

Shawn was downloading Facebook Dating since he wasn't having much luck on other dating apps. He was looking to just pass the time in quarantine. Having failed at finding the one after using online dating for many years he wasn't optimistic.

Megan saw Shawn's profile he had a great nose. Megan was definitely a nose girl. He also had a cat. If Megan was anything she was 100% a cat lover. She thought, "Well, he's got a great nose and nice eyes. If he matches me, then he matches me, if not... well, I am going to delete this app in an hour anyhow..."
