Our Wedding

We met at work in 2014 and became friends. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to talk to him, but I could never be the one to make the first move. Eventually, Adrian started to pursue me—but of course, I acted like I wasn’t interested. After some persistence, I gave him my number. We started talking, became best friends, and before long, we were inseparable. Fast forward to December 27, 2024. It was just us and our boys at home, soaking up the post-holiday chaos. I was curled up on the sofa when he came up behind me and whispered, “Merry Christmas, Mrs. Veal.” Naturally, I looked at my hand—no ring—but then he brought the most beautiful ring in front of me and asked me to marry him. I didn’t hesitate for a second. I said yes to the love of my life, my best friend, and the one I’ve built the most beautiful kind of messy, magical life with. Forever can’t come soon enough.
