We are going to seal our union with a Handfasting Ceremony and we want our friends and family to be a part of it. This ceremony uses ribbons to represent the entertwining of each of our lives with each other and with God. There will be a ribbon to represent each of us and a ribbon to represent God's presence in our marriage. We want to invite anyone who would like to take part of this ceremony to create and bring their own ribbon to be added to our knot.During the ceremony, the officiant will ask anyone who wants to add their ribbons to come up and lay them across our hands. After the ceremony we are going to frame them so we can always remember our special day and those who chose to celebrate it with us.The ribbon can be whatever color you choose and be as plain or as adorned as you would like. (Keep scrolling down to see what different colors represent.) It needs to be approximately 4' long and a soft 1"-2" wide ribbon that can be braided or tied. Feel free to be as creative as you want with these. We want to see YOU represented in our knot, just as you will be in our lives.We will be posting pictures of our ribbons as soon as we finish them. Handfasting Ceremony

We welcome all of your children to come celebrate with us. If you register on our website just add them to your reservation so we know how many guests we need to plan for. Please be aware there will be an open bar and it is on the bayou. It is very dark and the hill is very steep down to the water. We won't be able to barricade to keep someone from tumbling down the hill into the water or childproof the area so please keep an eye on them. We defiinitely don't want anyone hurt!
