Our Wedding

Long before they officially started dating, Megan and Jesse's paths kept crossing.In the fall of 2023, life brought them together when Megan needed help with her house. She was referred to Jesse and his company for hanging lights and some general housework. Jesse readily agreed to help when she was ready.A few months later, in 2024, fate intervened in a more direct way: they were a mutual match on an online dating website!Their first date revealed they had been crossing paths their entire lives but had never truly connected until that moment. After many subsequent dates, they realized they only wanted to date each other, and their story officially began.Their 2025 was a year of rapid growth and commitment: it included adding eight chickens and a puppy to their lives, completing a full house remodel on their farmhouse, and, finally, an engagement!Megan and Jesse are now looking forward to celebrating their marriage at their farmhouse, surrounded by all their family and friends.See you at the farmhouse!

Welcome to Entsminger Farms: A Living History
 
Every old farmhouse has a soul, and the story of Entsminger Farms has been unfolding right here in Anoka County for over 170 years. From 19th-century pioneers to a modern-day labor of love, this land has always been about family, hard work, and deep roots.
 
&#127963;&#65039; A True Historical Treasure
 
Built in 1855, this farmhouse isn't just old&#8212;it is a foundational piece of local history:
 
It is officially the oldest house in the City of Ramsey. 
It stands as one of the oldest homes in Anoka County. 
It is one of the oldest standing structures in the entire State of Minnesota (which didn't even achieve statehood until 1858, three years after this house was built!).
 
The Pioneer Beginnings (1855)
 
The story begins in 1855, when pioneers Daniel and Polly Robbins arrived in Anoka from Maine. They cleared the land, laid down roots, and built the very house that stands in the City of Ramsey, today.&#160; Daniel was a prominent citizen of the City of Anoka, holding various positions on the city board and dedicating his life to making Anoka the noble community it is today.
 
The Robbins family raised a bright, ambitious family here, and all of their children went on to achieve incredible success. Their son, Andrew B. (A.B.) Robbins, became a major entrepreneur and the original founder of the city of Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Another of the Robbins children went on to build a grand home directly across the street from the legendary railroad tycoon, James J. Hill. Most of the Robbins granddaughters were graduates of the University of Minnesota. 
 
The Peltzer Era &amp; The Ramsey Boulevard Legacy (1940)
 
In 1940, the historic homestead transitioned into its next great chapter when Pearl and August Peltzer purchased the property. The Peltzers turned the land into a thriving, bustling farm and became famously known throughout the community for their chickens.
 
Over the decades, the Peltzer name became synonymous with the local landscape&#8212;at one time, they owned much of the land stretching up and down Ramsey Boulevard. It was a true family affair, with other Peltzer relatives buying up surrounding plots of land to expand their own farming operations.
 
The Entsminger Family Generations
 
In 1980, a new era began when Mark and Connie Entsminger purchased the historic home. They filled the house with love, laughter, and life, raising their two children here: Jesse and Kelly. The family lived here for many wonderful years, creating a lifetime of memories within its historic walls.
 
The story came full circle on February 1st, 2024, when Jesse purchased his childhood home, ensuring the property would stay in the family. By the fall of 2024, a massive restoration and renovation project began to preserve the 1855 structure while breathing new life into its spaces.
 
Finally, in 2025, Megan and Jesse officially moved into the farm and brought the chickens back! Today, Entsminger Farms is a beautiful blend of past and present&#8212;honoring the pioneers who built it, the families who tilled it, and the new generations keeping the farmhouse preserved. The land may be gone, but love and hard work is still alive and thriving in the middle of the City of Ramsey!

We will be celebrating entirely outdoors! Please dress in comfortable fall attire (think layers, sweaters and so on) and bring a jacket for when the temperature drops. Because you'll be navigating a dirt driveway and grassy lawns, we highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes like boots, flats, or block heels. Stilettos and grass don't mix!

Please park on Ramsey Boulevard or next door at Ramsey Market. The Ramsey PD is aware of our celebration and has cleared us for parking on the Boulevard.
