Mike and I first met in 2015 at Rockbridge Alum Springs, a Young Life camp. The next summer, Mike and I interned for four months at Rockbridge--Mike as the Hospitality intern and me as the Office intern. We spent much time together, and became great friends. That fall, I went to SharpTop Cove (a Young Life camp in GA) for a year, but Mike and I stayed good friends. I even traveled with my friend, Shannon, to visit Mike and our friend Chiffy.

After my year-long internship, I got a job back at Rockbridge in January 2018. In March, Mike started working seasonally at Rockbridge and we were able to spend time together again! We were both grateful to have a close friend in a new phase of life. It wasn't until the late fall of 2018 that we started to see one another in a new light. We began dating in January 2019; it was fun and a bit odd transitioning from best friends to dating best friends.

Mike and I traveled to Norfolk, VA for Thanksgiving last year. That weekend he asked me to marry him. I SAID YES! We are so grateful for our gradual love story, and are excited for the years to come!
