The year is 2011 and the little college town of Durango Colorado is hopping on this fateful Saturday night with live music at the Abbey Theatre. In walks Clark, arm in a sling with a broken collar bone he suffered earlier that month. Unafraid to still cut up the dance floor he spots a spicy, platinum blond senorita shaking her money maker up by the stage and the rest is history.
It seems like yesterday that we were both students at Fort Lewis College in Durango where our paths crossed. Our early years together were spent enjoying the mountain town lifestyle riding the Southwest’s best bike trails, floating the Animas River and skiing powder at Purgatory and Silverton.
We thought we were destined to become “lifers” in that lovely town until we got the crazy idea to renovate a camper van and travel North America in search of endless singletrack and the next great taqueria. Over the next 9 months we rode every trail we could along the Western states, and two of Canadian Provinces before we landed at the tip of Baja, Mexico. All without a single major breakdown!
We have recently planted our first real roots in the shadows of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Megan's hometown of Westcliffe, Colorado. Most of our time is still spent speeding down amazing bike trails and floating the Arkansas River in search of the next big trout. We can not wait to share this special place with all our family and close friends as we tie the knot after 10 amazing and adventurous years together.
