Our Wedding

We first met thanks to assigned seats in high school. At 15 years old, we found ourselves seated next to each other in health class, surrounded by a few mutual friends, with zero clue that we’d one day be planning a wedding together. Our first date, if you can call it that, was a simple drive around Ames shortly after Megan turned 16. Somewhere between the stoplights and Cal’s early (and very bold) “I love you,” something clicked. It didn’t take long before Megan felt the same. Fast forward nearly nine years, and we’ve packed in a lifetime of memories. We’ve cheered each other on at countless football and volleyball games, danced the night away at homecomings, proms, and sorority formals, survived college nights out (thank you Cal for being the most reliable designated driver), spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors, and built a friendship that never once wavered. Cal popped the question on May 3, 2025, during a weekend getaway to Nature Link Resort in Nisswa, Minnesota. After a couple of cozy, rainy days in the cabin, the sun finally came out just in time for a perfect last day. While we were watching the sunset on the dock, Cal got down on one knee and Megan said yes! We’ve always loved spending quality time together. Some of our favorite pastimes include cribbage, fishing, evening walks, and grabbing coffee from our favorite local spots. Whether we’re exploring new places or just hanging out at home, we really just love doing life together. Thanks for being here as we take on the next chapter—we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
