This was our first photo we ever took together! We both attended college at Minnesota State University, Mankato. We met junior year of college since we both majored in elementary education, so we had a lot of the same classes together. The summer before our senior year of college, we both were living at our parents houses. We really started to talk more and eventually we met halfway to go on dates. Our first date (in the photo) was in Chaska, MN, which is right in the middle of Hutchinson (where Dylan is from) and Rosemount (where Megan is from). We continued to go on more dates throughout the summer, and then eventually made it official on July 31st, 2019. We went back for our senior year of college as a couple. Senior year of college we were in all of the same classes together since we were in our final stage of "blocks" (classes before full time student teaching). We both graduated from MSU in December of 2020 with bachelor degrees in elementary education.

After graduating college, we moved back to our parents houses. We did long distance for about 9 months until we found a place in Owatonna, MN and moved in together there. We both had long-term subbing positions our first year living in Owatonna. The second year, we both landed full time teaching jobs at the same school. We were very lucky to have taught together that year!

Owatonna will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is our very first home together. It is where we taught together, found our community and friend group together, got our first puppy, Sadie, together, discovered our love for pickle ball and long walks together. On July 5th, 2023, we went on a walk together when Dylan got home from work. It was nothing unusual, as we love going on walks. Dylan suggested that we go on a longer walk through the woods path and around one of the lakes we like to see. When we got to the lake, I was mesmerized by the views around me. Before I knew it, Dylan was on one knee, proposing to me. Of course I said yes!!!
