Nick's English Hut -- A true Bloomington institution. Sit upstairs if you want to pretend like you're still a rowdy college student (and you're mostly going to drink), sit downstairs to be with Btown's finest old folks and to find the booth where Megan's mom and dad had their first date.
Upland Brewing -- The best beer in town! Though they're known for their unique and extremely delicious sours, you actually can't go wrong with any of the beers on their menu. Great food too, and a lovely spot for outdoor seating.
Samira Restaurant -- Delicious Afghan cuisine, right on the town square. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Runcible Spoon -- Brunch food (also serving lunch/dinner) in extremely cute digs, both indoors and outdoors.
We highly recommend strolling along Fourth St between Dunn and Grant and wandering into whichever international restaurant speaks to you. Stand-outs are Taste of India, Little Tibet, Do Asian Fusion, My Thai, and Marco and Polo (Uyghur cuisine), but you won't be disappointed with anywhere you stumble into along there.
Mother Bears -- Best pizza in town! Take a nice walk through campus to get there.
Chocolate Moose -- Ice cream!! Another Btown institution.
Soma Coffeehouse -- Best coffee in town.
Hopscotch Coffee -- Also amazing coffee.
Oliver Winery -- Not walking distance, but a beautiful winery just outside of town.
Cardinal Spirits -- Delicious cocktails.
Atlas Ballroom -- A late night hang with more townies (aka locals) than college students.
Root Cellar Lounge -- The coolest spot in town. We will go dancing here after the wedding on Saturday night!
If you want to party with the students, go for Upstairs Pub, the Vid, Kilroy's on Kirkwood (for the truly adventurous), or the aforementioned Nick's (upstairs). Do not go to Kilroy's Sports -- none of you are that young.
Walk around IU campus! Keep an eye out for Beck Chapel, where Megan's parents got married. Stop in the Lilly Library to see a Gutenberg Bible or check out the Eskenazi Museum of Art -- an I.M. Pei building!
Bloomington Community Farmers' Market -- Stop by on Saturday morning to sample some fruits, hear some local musicians, and maybe have a pastry from a food truck. We also highly recommend stopping by Le Petit Cafe's Saturday morning window along the B-Line trail for an iced mocha and a French pastry.
Walk around the town square and along Kirkwood Ave. Stop in all the little shops and explore Fountain Square Mall -- it's cute!
Though none of them are walking distance from your hotel, there are multiple gorgeous lakes in and around Bloomington, with great hiking trails. If you're staying a little longer for any reason, we would be happy to recommend the best hikes along Lake Monroe, Lake Griffy, or Lake Lemon! Lake Griffy could actually be feasible for a quick morning hike, as it's only a 10 minute drive from downtown.
