We met at 15, playing on the same soccer team—coached by Mr. Kirby (the bride’s dad) and with Juldan’s brother Vernon right there on the field too. Back then, we were just a couple of awkward teens trying to survive drills and pretending we weren’t terrible at small talk.

Over the years, we stayed friends and grew closer in college—aka the era of bad decisions, questionable fashion, and a long list of dating the wrong people. Eventually, life pulled us in different directions, and we lost touch.

Fast forward to 2021: fate (and pizza) brought us back together at a local pizza spot. From that night on, the friendship came back instantly, only this time with a lot more laughter, better taste, and fewer awkward silences.

A year later, the timing finally lined up—we were both single, ditched the “wrong people,” and realized maybe we were the right people all along. Somewhere between late-night talks and stargazing at a local playground, Juldan finally kissed Megan for the first time—turns out he’d just been playing the long game since 2009.

Since then, our journey’s been filled with laughter, adventures, and growth—wrapped in a love that feels like it was hiding in plain sight all along.
