Q + A

Why Paris?

In our early days of dating, Megan moved to Paris for the summer for business school. Knowing the distance would likely end their budding relationship this early on, Garrett chose to make a grand gesture and follow Megan. The days they spent exploring Paris together, in the hottest summer on record, was magical in spite of all the sweat and mosquito bites

Should we bring gifts with us?

Please don't bring any gifts to Paris! In fact, we ask that in lieu of gifts you please bring or send in advance a greeting card that includes your favorite story of us! We've provided a small registry for those looking for an excuse to shop...but we really really mean it when we say that traveling across the world for our big day is the only gift we want from you!

When do we need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 1 at the latest

What should we do after the wedding?

We know it's a bit unusual for a wedding to wrap up before dinner, so we've got a few suggestions for dinner near the venue if you need help! Chantoiseau - 63 Rue Lepic Le Poulbot - 3 Rue Poulbot Les Canailles - 25 Rue la Bruyere Le Bruit Qui Court - 69ter Rue Damremont Le 975 - 185 Rue Marcadet Le Normandie - 13 Rue Custine L'Arcane - 52 rue Lamarck We'll let everyone know where we end up after dinner for a nightcap :)

What does the wedding day entail?

We're doing things a bit differently :) Rather than a marathon of events all day and night we are breaking up the wedding festivities into two days. Friday's events include the ceremony and a cocktail party with snacks & desserts. There will be music and dancing as well. Saturday we'll bring everyone back together for a formal meal and possibly a few more activities: more details coming soon!

Where is the wedding ceremony?

The wedding ceremony and cocktail reception is at a historic property in Montmartre called Hotel Particulier Montmartre. A word of caution - the venue can be tricky to find! Follow your GPS to the address; you're looking for a large gate. Use the intercom to contact the hotel for access, from there you'll follow the cobblestone path to the courtyard

My French is rusty...or maybe nonexistent...what should I know before I arrive?

Practice a few basic phrases before you arrive! Effort goes a long way when traveling abroad. There are a lot of great resources to learn a few basics! I highly recommend checking out these articles: https://blog.duolingo.com/french-phrases-for-travel/ Also, you've never seen Garrett quite as annoyed as when he's ready to leave after lunch but can't get l'addition. Highly advise if this is your first trip to France that you brush up on dining culture: https://epicureandculture.com/french-dining-etiquette-eating-out-in-france/
