Megan and Mariah first met on the dating app Hinge. Mariah made the first move, complementing Megan's beautiful eyes. Little did Mariah know Megan was about to start a different relationship (May of 2021). Four months later, Megan's relationship did not work out and she logged back into her dating app. She saw the message from Mariah and responded. FOUR MONTHS LATER.... Luckily Mariah did not realize how long it took Megan to reply. Megan and Mariah talked every single day since. They met in person a week later and instantly hit it off.

Fast forward a year later in October of 2022, Megan officially bought a house in Kenosha, WI to live with Mariah. Finally, no more driving back and forth from Wisconsin to Illinois. Even though, they only dated a year before committing to living together they knew it was the best next step for their relationship.

After settling into their house, Mariah and Megan decided it was time to go ring shopping together. In June of 2023 Mariah and Megan took their moms and sisters to Chicago to build their dream rings. Mariah and Megan were both able to design their perfect ring. This trip symbolized that they were both ready to take the next step into marriage.

August 18th 2023, after work Mariah was met with a sign on the front door saying "Hi Beautiful! Follow the instructions on the TV stand". Mariah walks into the living room to a picture of her and Megan with a sign that says "press play on the computer". Mariah pressed play and a video started to play with Taylor Swift's, "You Belong with Me". Pictures of Mariah and Megan throughout the past couple years begin to show up on the screen. Not only did Megan create a slideshow for Mariah but also collected videos from all of her family members talking about how happy they are for her. The video ended with Megan telling Mariah to come out to the backyard. When Mariah went to the backyard she was met with flower pedals, a white runway, string lights and a back drop of the Eiffle Tower. Megan knew Mariah's dream was to get engaged in front of the Eiffle Tower. After Megan proposed, she had a surprise celebration planned. She invited all of their closest family and friends to celebrate together. Mariah and Megan celebrated their love with all of their favorite people.
