Our Wedding

Dylan and Megan’s love story began on December 29, 2019, at Tallboy Taco. While the restaurant didn’t last for much longer after the date, Dylan and Megan certainly did. Just a few months later, the world turned upside down, and the two navigated the pandemic side by side, proving that love can flourish even in uncertain times. Over the past five years, they’ve built a relationship filled with countless adventures, from trips and date nights to shared TV marathons and quiet moments that mean the world. When Megan moved to New York City to pursue her MBA at NYU while Dylan remained in Chicago, their bond was put to the test. Despite over 700 miles between them, their love only grew stronger. Thanks to FaceTime, frequent flights, and unwavering dedication, they made long distance look almost easy (well, almost). From celebrating wins big and small to finding joy in the simple things, they demonstrated that love transcends geography. After those two years, the couple planned an unforgettable trip to France, exploring Nice, Lyon, and Paris. It was during this trip that Dylan cemented his title as the romantic one. From incredible meals to magical moments, the trip was full of memories, but none as special as the day Dylan proposed. The proposal was nothing short of a dream. Dylan surprised Megan with a private wine tour at a stunning château near Lyon. Greeted by the château’s gracious owner, they explored the property’s vineyard, gardens, river, bamboo forest, and even its own sequoia tree. Afterward, they enjoyed a wine tasting in the château’s cozy living room before stepping outside, where Dylan proposed in the most beautiful, heartfelt way imaginable. It was a day they’ll cherish forever. Now back in Chicago together, Dylan and Megan couldn’t be more excited to take the next step and officially start their life as a married couple. Their relationship is built on mutual encouragement to be the best versions of themselves, an unwavering foundation of support, and a love and friendship that has only deepened over time. From their first date to their wedding day and beyond, they’re ready to continue sharing laughs, adventures, and endless love as they write the next chapters of their story—together.

Eaglewood Resort &amp; Spa is a 5 minute drive from Medinah Country Club. The block rate is available for one or two nights and can be accessed from the website link below. Check in time is after 3:00pm and check out time is before 11:00am. The block rate is available until June 30th. The hotel offers limited shuttle service to take guests to and from the venue, if needed. The shuttle departs at 5:05pm and 5:20pm for Medinah and will return at 12:00pm and 12:15pm on a first come first served basis.

For guests that would like to stay in the city of Chicago rather than the suburbs we recommend this hotel. Although we don't have a room block here this is a great options for the weekend for those that would like to stay in the city.
