Our Wedding

Our story begins junior year of college at Texas A&amp;M University, when James and Megan moved in next to each other on Foster Avenue in College Station. James and Megan both moved into their townhome on August 1, 2020. James moved in earlier that morning, so he walked over to Megan side of the townhome and introduced himself and asked if her and her parents needed any help moving in. Of course she was on our last piece of furniture, so she did not need any help, but thanked him and introduced herself as well. After a drive thru Taco Cabana Margarita later that night, Megan had the idea that her and her roommates should go over to James and his roommates side of the townhouse to get to know them since they would be living next to them (and sharing a wall) all year. That night, Megan and James stayed up talking on the couch for hours getting to know eachother. On New Year’s Eve that same year, James asked Megan to be his girlfriend. The both of them then graduated with their bachelor’s degree from Texas A&amp;M University. Megan got her first job in the healthcare industry working in Human Resources, and James got into Physical Therapy school located in the Med Center. They then moved into their first apartment together in Houston. James proposed to Megan in their apartment after celebrating their 4 year anniversary of dating at their favorite steakhouse (B&amp;B’s Butchers &amp; Restaurant). After the proposal, James took Megan to her parents house and surprised her with all their friends and family there. Fast forward six months, they finally got their first dog together named Stormi.We can’t wait to celebrate June 14th with all of you, and establish this date as our forever anniversary!

We are thrilled to kick off our wedding weekend with a welcome gathering at the Boathouse Bar &amp; Lounge, which is located on the Margaritaville property! Guests staying at the hotel are invited to join us for an evening of cocktails, conversation, and mingling with friends and family. An ice cream bar will be available for a sweet treat as we toast to the weekend ahead. The couple kindly requests that all guests wear white for this evening so we can celebrate together in style. Drop in at your leisure — we can’t wait to see you and start the festivities together!

We have blocked off rooms at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Lake Conroe at a reduced rate! The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the venue. Transportation will be provided to and from the Margaritaville hotel. This hotel block rate is for 6/12 through 6/14 nights. Please click the link to book your room. The room block code is LAMWB430. If you are flying in, the closest airport will be George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) in Houston. The airport is roughly an hour from Margaritaville. Otherwise, William P. Hobby in Houston will be the next closest airport. Safe travels!

Our wedding will be an evening black tie optional event. Think elegant, elevated, and festive!Ladies may opt for floor-length gowns, elevated midi dresses, or formal jumpsuits. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits or tuxedos.We are requesting that guests wear color — bold, bright, pastel, or jewel tones are all welcome. To keep our vision cohesive, we kindly ask that you avoid black, white, and silver.June evenings in Texas can be warm, so lightweight fabrics and summer-friendly formal attire are encouraged.

Megan met Libby freshman year of college at Texas A&M and they have become inseparable ever since. From being her roommate in college to now her Maid of Honor, she can’t imagine her special day without Libby standing by her side.

Jessica is the grooms sister and brides sister she never had. Both Jessica and Megan never had a sister growing up and they both clicked the day they met eachother. Jessica and Megan are never not laughing or scheming against James. Jessica always told James before he proposed to Megan “If you don’t marry her I will.” Sorry Jess LOL, I still love you!

Matt AKA the bride’s brother, James’ Bubba #2, and their roomate. He and the bride are not only siblings but best friends. Megan and James do everything with him and are so happy to have Matt standing by their side on their wedding day.

Jessalyn is the groom’s neice and the brides future neice. Throughout the years of Megan and James dating and their engagement, Megan and Jessalyn have become super close and considers her like a little sister due to their closeness in age. She due in January are making the bride and groom a great aunt and uncle and they are so thankful for that.

Zae (AKA Mario Lopez) arrived on the scene in middle school competing with James on who had the best Justin Bieber hair and the skinniest jeans. Since that time they have been best friends throughout high school, especially when dominating on the football field together. You can say their relationship is like 2019 LSU Ja'marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.

The bride and Autumn met junior year of college. Autumn was roommates with Megan’s close friends in college, which then then led to them becoming besties! Autumn and the bride never stop laughing when they are with eachother. She is the sweetest friend to Megan, and she is grateful to have her standing by her side on her wedding day!

Cam (AKA Lebron’s Biggest Fan) arrived on the scene in college at Texas A&M. Their bond became strong when they shared an interest of all sports, especially basketball. They took their talents to the court in pick up basketball at the REC Center. Where you could say they played like the Splash Brothers.

Sarah and the bride met eachother in elementary school and have remained close friends since then. Sarah was the brides partner in crime all through grade school and they were never not with eachother. The bride and her are so close they act like sisters. Megan is so lucky to have met such a lifelong friend!

Kobo (AKA Cinnamon) busted on the scene in high school when they played soccer together which turned into a 4 year roommate relationship at Texas A&M. All the late nights of playing FIFA, UFC, and Rocket League along with their other roommate Nicolás Legarreta, you can say their bond is similar to MSN, Lionel Messi, Luiz Suarzez, Neymar.

Korbin San Miguel

Taylor and Megan grew up across the street from eachother. They have remained in the same friend group all throughout grade school, college, and even post college! Taylor and the bride became super close during college (even attending college 7 hours away from eachother), and have become even closer friends post college. After college, Taylor and Megan both moved back home with their parents which meant they got to hang out all the time. The bride is so happy to have her by her side on her wedding day!

Tin Man (AKA Mexican Wolverine) arrived on the scene in early elementary school when Austin accidentally scooted his chair back pinning James between a desk. Since that moment these two have been best friends. But throughout all these years Austin still owes James dad $20.

Brooke is the best bridesmaid any person could ask for. She’s known the bride since elementary school. They grew up living down the street from eachother, which led to unlimited sleepovers on the weekends. Brooke was one of her first friends, and considers her like a sister!

JAG (AKA Cha Man) turned on the scene in first grade when the two of them were busted for trading Pokemon cards. Since that moment these two have now traded the Pokemon cards to poker chips. These two as well as Marcus Gonzalez turned Vegas upside down, similar to the movie The Hangover.

Emily and the bride were in the same Kindergarten class, then became close friends during middle school volleyball. Emily and her love going to A&M football tailgates/games, traveling, and going to happy hour together!

PB (AKA P-Diddy) came onto the scene in college at A&M when he offered James a job at a local apartment complex. Being advertised as a simple job turned into a grueling task of furnishing apartments. Despite the hard labor, they quickly became best friends and share a love for craft beers!

Ant Man (AKA Bobby Schmurda) arrived on the scene in college where their bond grew at the weekly Tuesday nights at the Dixie Chicken. Sharing similar interests love of A&M sports but rivalries with the Texans and the Cowboys. However, they both have a love for a Chicken Schwarma.
