FAQs

Is there a place to stay on premises?

Yes! We encourage everyone to stay on-site and participate in a full Adirondack experience! For those of you who don't know, during the summer Jimbo's is a girl's summer camp called Point O' Pines. There are different room options. You can stay in a cabin with beds and bunks (great for families or groups of friends), or a hotel style room. All rooms and cabins have private bathrooms (the cabins each have 2). If you wish to stay off premises, feel free to reach out to Megan for a list of some local accommodations close to Jimbo's.

How do I book a room or cabin?

If you wish to stay on-site, just let Megan and Michael know through your RSVP or email us at mcdonoughsmith1109@gmail.com. DO NOT contact Jimbo's to reserve a room! Megan will assign the rooms prior to the wedding. All you need to do is let us know how many nights you would like to stay, what type of room you are prefer and we will reserve the room through Jimbo's for you. Payment will be due when you arrive. When you arrive, you drive up to the main circle (there are directional signs) and check-in at the Library. The staff will direct you to your accommodation and advise you where to park.

How & when should I RSVP?

To RSVP, please click on the RSVP tab here on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here and you can mark “attending” or “declining”. Please RSVP before 10/19/2024. All RSVPs received after this date will be marked as declining; we will be sending a final headcount to our vendors following this deadline.

What is the dress code?

Semi-Formal. Please no jeans. We encourage you to wear your best cocktail attire! However, please note that this is a rustic location. Most of the grounds are grass, sand or gravel. Don't wear fancy shoes that you don't want to get a little dirty!

There are a few things that we recommend you bring along with you if you think you will need. Since the venue is not your traditional hotel, it does not have some of the amenities might one be accustomed to. Here are a couple things you might want to bring with you to make your stay more enjoyable:

· Hair Dryer, if you need one

· Umbrella or raingear (hopefully you won’t need it, but better safe than sorry!)

· Blanket or warm fleece/sweatshirt for the campfire (it is the Adirondacks and can definitely get chilly)

· Cooler – there are no ice machines and only a few, shared mini-fridges in common areas, so if you are bringing any drinks or snacks that need refrigeration, it is recommended that you bring a personal cooler.
