Rich and I have done a few of the rail bike trails in the area and highly recommend them! The North Creek Station just 15 mintues from Garnet Hill Lodge offers both a northern and southern route. They do book up, if interested we recommend booking in advance.

Located about 45 minutes from Garnet Hill but worth an honorable mention Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course offer a variety of treetop adventure courses of various levels and zip lines.

About 40 minutes from Garnet Hill you will find this cool geological site, including the largest marble cave entrance in the eastern U.S. A fun walking tour Rich and I have done and recommend!

There are many hiking trails in the area of various lenghts and difficulties from the 2 mile out and back Balm of Gilead Trail located on Garnet Hill Lodge property to Gore Mountain via Schaefer Trail (pictured) clocking in at over 9 miles just down the road. Feel free to ask us for suggestions!
