Megan and Ian met junior year of high school 2018 through a mutual friend. When they started talking, they knew there was something special about their connection. After about two weeks of knowing each other, Ian asked Megan to be his girlfriend on April 5, 2018 and she said yes.

They’ve been through loved ones passing, a pandemic, new houses, new cars, their first pet together, Graham, good times, and bad times together. Through all of these good times and bad times, they were still there for each other.

To celebrate Megan and Ian’s 5 year anniversary, they went on a 3 week long vacation out west to visit Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and California. It was a vacation they’d always dreamed of and thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate their love. When they went to Los Angeles, Megan’s mom, Melissa, flew in to explore the city, but was actually there to secretly help Ian propose. On April 19, they all went to Malibu, El Matador, and Santa Monica. When at Santa Monica, Megan and Melissa were roaming the beach to find Ian and came across Ian written in the sand, “Will you marry me Megan” with rose petals. Megan said yes and they FaceTimed the rest of their family to tell them the good news! After celebrating with family and some onlookers on the beach, two whales helped them celebrate by flinging their tails out of the water and blowing water out of their blow holes. It was a perfect day and was such a beautiful engagement.
